The current iPhone actually has Bluetooth, but it is hardly implemented anywhere. Instead, it seems Apple have assigned Bluetooth merely for using wireless headsets (and possibly stereo headphones in iPhone 2).

I don't have an iPhone, but I did recently purchase one of the new motorola razr v8's... it's valued at around $500, but as a new service customer I got it for $250. Anyhow, the company I have a contract with says because the phone is so expensive they can't extend insurance on it. Isn't that crazy?! You'd think the more expensive the gadget, the more they would want you to insure it. But anyway, long story short, if the phone breaks and you need a new one, you don't get the same one. They downgrade you to a regular razr. Count your blessings Apple didn't screw you over like that. Anyhow... what I'd like to see in future versions of the iPhone is bluetooth capability, and ability to download/upload files on the phone from the internet. but for now, bluetooth would suit me just fine, and i may consider looking into one. Like you said, the keynotes argue against most of their predictions and logic concludes the rest ;) Truly excited about the new iPhone the bank has, sadly, kept me from obtaining one thus far but minor design alterations aside, 3G is the tipping point for me!
