I absolutely hate apple and everything apple-like.
However, this guy is a freaking idiot. The best action for any company to take is to find out exactly what their competition is providing and then do a better job at it. Simply giving in doesn't do anyone any good at all.

well he might be an idiot, but theres some truth in what hes saying. people are happy with what they have so the only business model that will break it is either buy in or sell out. open source is the way to go here, not applesoft licensed software. Nokia have got clued up, they bought Symbian and made is open source, a bold move I think will pay off kindly. Then theres the android platform who I think people like samsung and motrola will take up as they have nothing decent of their own. sony erricson should make a psp phone thing, apple should just give up like microsoft are/will do. Although dont write off microsoft yet, windows 7 with surface and surface mobile will be their next big move.
i ramble too much.

What's sad is this: everyone is going to link to this guy and put this video up everywhere (because it's that laughable) and TheStreet.com is going to think "wow! That brought a lot of traffic! Gary is doing great!"

That said, that was the most nonsensical, clueless interview I've seen in quite a while.
