Yes, we were there in London's Apple Flagship Store on Friday 9th November 2007 at 6:02pm. The occasion was of course the UK release of Apple's iPhone and what a fantastic evening it was. Queuing was, in fact very fast as the whole of the store had been shut for the iPhone launch and as we entered the store we experienced the deafening roar of over a hundred Apple Sales Reps cheering and applauding. Steve Jobs however was nowhere to be seen, but I'm pretty certain that he was experiencing this phenomenon somewhere, perhaps at home on his big screen.
Our iPhones are syncing whilst i write this article and we are all very excited.
Below are some of the pics taken from the launch. Some videos will be added very soon which are well worth watching.
Happy iDay from all of the team here at GoSquared.
It is now confirmed that Apple's iPhone will be released in the UK at 6:02pm this Friday.
It comes as no real surprise following the release of both Leopard and iPhone which were both released at 6:00pm local time. However, due to its release on UK network provider O2, the time has been slightly adjusted to reflect upon this.
The iPhone will be on sale in all Apple retail stores, online, O2 stores as well as Carphone Warehouse Stores from 6:02pm GMT.
GoSquared will be at the launch and be bagging our iPhones and we will be bringing you all the action from the Flagship Regent Street Apple Store in London.
